About the job
Come join our fast-growing Software Engineering team! The role will involve close collaboration with the business team to deliver high-quality software and web applications to advance our projects in the forest carbon space, as well as management and monitoring the performance of the company’s infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Design optimal technical solutions for our products and systems and take care of relevant documentation.
Work with the software engineering team to optimise, simplify and manage our infrastructure and database modelling to run as efficiently as possible across large amounts of data.
Work with the software engineering team to monitor the performance of the infrastructure and development workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure robust, scalable, and secure setup of all tools and services.
Apply modern container and cluster technologies (Docker).
Facilitate continuous integration and continuous deployment practices to ensure a smooth and speedy delivery of features and fixes.
Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the development team.
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Full-stack developer.
Significant experience with Laravel web application framework.
Significant experience in Vue or equivalent experience in React, Angular, Svelte.
Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySql).
Experience with PostGIS is a plus.
Willingness to share your knowledge with others.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with different teams within the organisation.
Self-motivated player with experience in a start-up environment and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Excellent communication & writing skills in English.
